Retaining Walls

Retaining walls are used to adjust drastic elevation changes to make more usable areas and give a beautiful decorative look to a lawn.

Creating stairs and walls make a great accent for a landscape design. We offer many different types of retaining walls ranging from anchor blocks to stack stone.

Anchor blocks are used for taller systems requiring the need to hold up heavy weight. Stack stone is used mainly for creating shorter borders between areas.

Stack stone is an ancient method of creating a barrier. Achieved by "stacking" large rocks atop each other, it is useful in holding dirt and/or other materials in place.

There are numerous options to hold the stones together. The first method is the dry stack. This method is not very durable but maintains the natural look. Not recommended for barriers higher than 8 inches.

The second method is to glue the stones together using a silicone material. This method is safer and more durable but still maintains the natural look.

The strongest method is to mortar the stones together with concrete. However, this method has an unnatural look and feel. We can custom design the retaining walls to appear exactly the way you want...
